Tenet: we know you’re watching. We are coming.

Our Mission

SA Nurses Unite is a group with one goal: unionizing RNs in San Antonio to create a safer environment for nurses and patients.

We want to educate nurses about the benefits of unionizing and the steps to take to finally make a positive change.

Do these sound familiar?

Have you ever charted or passed medications while on your lunch break? Ever cut a meal break short due to inadequate staffing on your unit?

Have you ever had a patient assignment that was unsafe, but your concerns went unheard?

Have you had an understaffed department that forced you into a patient ratio beyond the recommended level?

Ever had your benefits stolen from you?

Did you have to use PTO to cover your time off of work from acquiring COVID-19?

Were you consistently kept safe during the pandemic? Did you have proper PPE? Were policies made which made you feel like your health was a priority?

How many decisions has the administration of your facility made that caused your job to become more difficult and less safe?

Do you feel that your facility’s policies are not in the best interest of the staff or the patients?

How many angry emails/text messages/hallway conversations have you had with your direct supervisors that went nowhere?

Do you feel you are paid what you deserve?

Do you feel that you’re “just a number” who administration could replace in with no effort?

What can we do?

As our hospitals continue to get busier and volumes continue to rise, now is the time to enact a positive change.

Unionizing gives us, the heartbeat of the hospital, a voice, a way to stand up for our licenses and ourselves. It is time to defend the patients and families that are trusting us with their lives.

No longer will our livelihoods be directed by non-clinical administrators who only have the “bottom-line” in mind. Let’s speak up!

What is a union? Why they matter and how they can help.
